I took some time away from my acad works to blog about all the things that I missed to tell. I was deprived of time to enjoy and relax the past weekS. To tell you honestly, the first months of 2014 is giving me constant heart-and-head acheS. But let me not put myself down. As I always tell myself, "focus on better things left." So that's what I think I should do.
We've been bombarded with a lot of school works that I cannot feel vacay days or even weekends anymore. It's as if rest had disappeared suddenly from my vocabulary. And to make things worst, there are also some predicaments within the comforts of our home. I still have to do my everyday chores and such.
With regards to other challenges, well my brother met an accident last month. Thank God, only the car was damaged. My phone was also snatched while I was in school. And lastly, the never-ending requirements from my professors. But don't get me wrong, the latter was not said in a sarcastic manner. I just want to rant stuff that stressed me these days. Hahaha. These are the inevitable things in life that needed acceptance. "Move on, let go." as how the RATs put it.
But despite all of these, there are still many things to be thankful for. I just turned 20 last 13th and I'm glad to have celebrated it in the most unique way.
Two days before my birthday, I had dinner with Ina and Sayaka (my new Japanese friend who I met last January for my "interview with a foreigner" task for Intercultural Communication). We ate at Maginhawa. Finally, I already had a taste of Maginhawa. We had Japanese food. Nomnomnom. I also dropped by the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice to had a mini-conversation with God. :)
Then after, I went to Tado's wake to pay my respect. It was a tough night. Last Brewrats reunion. Ramon, Angel, RA and Jun were there. We'll miss you, Sir Tado. I hope you're having a good time in your journey.
I went out with my friends last 12th. We had lunch at Jollibee and we went to K-Hub for one hour of videoke.
Then on the exact day of my birthday was the 3rd Young Communicators' Congress that coincided with the 1st PUP Mabini Media Awards. Different media practitioners were there. I felt as if they really made my day special.
Lastly, the thing that got me really crazy. I finally met the author of the books that made me cry! Haha. Mitch Albom! I think I have to do a special post about it whenever I find another time. He was so sweet and humble. He finished signing 1,800+ books and he made sure that he talked to everyone. I really have a lot to say about the event. But for now, Thank you, Mitch for coming to the Philippines -- not only for the benefit of your fans but for those who were affected by the typhoon as well.
Bye for now. I have to get back with some more papers. I hope to be back soon.
UPCAT results are out and sadly, my cousin didn't pass. :( I know the feeling, Iah! But there are still other universities. Pursue your dream of being a dentist. I'll be one of your clients soon. Hehe. :)
Last week, what our group did for our Radio documentary is about suicide. I've been the editor slash writer and I hope we'll receive good feedbacks. *cross-fingers* Then we've also finished two plays for our Drama and Theatre Arts class which were: Prometheus Bound (Greek Theater) and Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespearean Drama). There's still a Kabuki play up to perform 2 weeks from now, I guess. There were several quizzes that were scheduled last week but were postponed. Lastly, the big event that happened recently was our Television Program Simulation. Our show was entitled Heartbeat. I am the Associate Producer and the Headwriter. It feels so fulfilling that our class pulled it off! Here are some pictures from the set:
My birthday is fast approaching and I don't have any single plan. I believe that planning will just be a waste of time and will give me disappointments so come what may. Surprise me with whatever stuff you think would make me happy. But there's just one thing I want to wish -- that is Mommy's good health. :>
Happy Valentine's Day in advance and Happy Birthday to myself in advance. :)
Since there`s only a few days left before my 18th birthday (yes, I`m going to be of legal age already!), I`m now making a birthday wishlist. I don`t think these will ever come true but I still hope! Hihihihi.
Canon 1100D Rebel T3. Gaaah. This camera is so awesome. You can actually choose from different colors aside from black. I`ve seen this type of camera a couple of times in malls and they`re so stylish. I hope I can have the blue one. Well, actually, any type of dSLR may do but if were given a chance, I would really pick this! =))
I want to have a complete set of Nicholas Sparks' novels. Yes, I can download e-book version of his books but I really want to collect every single book that he wrote. <3
Be at two places at the same time. I want to cross this out already 'cause I already accomplished this! The train always pass this borderline between Manila and Makati so there! Hehehe. I was so inspired in one of the scenes of the movie A Walk to Remember where Landon took Jamie in a borderline. SWEEEEEET! :""">
Anything from Diliman Republic! It`s been a long time since I first known the Diliman Republic but I haven`t bought anything from them yet. Haha! :)
I want to have a healthy and happy family! :)
...Lastly, a better set of grades. :)
Make my wishes come true! I would be so happy if you cross-out one for me. =)))
NOT SO RELATED PS: I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SHANE WEST! :"""""">

“For once, for once, for once, I get the feeling that I'm right where I belong .”
- Fun.
This blog was created August of 2008. Putting up an account here wasn't really on my plans. It's just that I was so crazy about Chris Tiu before and he runs a blog so I thought of creating my own as well. Years have passed, and I have grown yet I still keep my personal stuff here. Yes, things may change but one thing's for sure -- I will continue running this blog as long as I can.
