We were so surprised last October when we received the message that our documentary, Agapayan had been officially selected by the committee of Catholic Mass Media Awards. We weren't really expecting that such a big announcement will shake us out. We've tried to send out the entry but our expectation was really low because we know the standards of this great award giving body plus of course, the pressure of other participating universities like La Salle, Ateneo and Letran.
Last Friday was the judgement day. Our Executive Producer (Kabie) and Director (Mark) headed to GSIS theater to represent our production team, Bravo Prod. Together with them is our beloved dean and professor, Dr. Edna T. Bernabe. As I reviewed the list of the finalists a day before the event, I felt that the other documentaries in our category were also great (getting ideas from the titles alone). So it was too overwhelming to know that we made it. We won the Best Student TV Production. It was just yesterday that I took hold and felt the 'rock' award and up until now, I am still on cloud nine. Been receiving a lot of congratulatory messages from schoolmates, professors (Sir Ricky Rosales even greeted us a while ago on his DZMM radio program. Hihi.), family and friends and daddy just said that my roundtrip ticket to L.A. is assured, perhaps this summer. I just can't believe it all.
I can't thank God enough for all these overflowing blessings. This year had been so great to me. Thank you to Catholic Mass Media Awards for this recognition. It means a lot to us, budding media practitioners. This makes us even inspired. Again, thank you Lord. Just, thank you.

It feels so great to accomplish all the requirements on time. Our vacation had been delayed for a week but still, our class extension ran smooth so it didn't really gave me that much stress. This sem had been really fulfilling. I have experienced and learned a lot of things which will really be helpful in my future job. News gathering at the senate, radio and TV documentaries, series of plays, and TV and radio program simulation were just some of the highlights of this sem. Plus in our minor subjects, we had Humanities Fest (a contest of different arts) and debate match against the other section in our subject, Debate.
I thank God for giving me all the strength to get through all the hurdles of every semester. :)
And now, here are some of my plans for summer:
Finish a short story or essay.
Watch a lot of movies.
Read books.
Be productive at home.

Right in time for the Holy Week. I will be leaving you with this documentary we made for our final requirement in one of our major subjects. I'm one of the researchers here:
February 13, 2013 had been a happy day for me. Everything ran fine. We only have two classes that day -- PE and Drama and Theatre Arts. We tried playing basketball and it was.. not-so good. Hahaha! Then we just watched some samples of Kabuki plays for our DTA class. Afterwhich, I, Erlaine and Rezah went to the Interfaith chapel. It was my first time to attend a mass in that chapel inside our university. A lot of people were there that Wednesday, since that was Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. At about 6 pm, we left for Cavite for my mini-birthday celebration. We arrived at our house at 8:30. Then we munch over some food and we watched Pitch Perfect. I have actually watched it around ten times or more already (but the acapella parts only) but they haven't watched it yet so I let them see the film. We all slept at 2 am. The following day, we had some mini-pictorial in our garden. It was awesome. The air was cooperating with us that time. Haha! Anyway, happy birthday to me! May I succeed in all my endeavors and may God continue to guide and help me along my journey. :)
A few more weeks and it's summer once again. I hope that in the remaining weeks, we could finish everything that needs to be done for this sem.
And I suddenly felt the I-am-not-in-the-mood-for-blogging-feeling so I'm putting a period now.
PS. I greeted Tina Panganiban-Perez on my birthday upon knowing that it was also her birthday. And she replied to me with a greeting too! :) Yeay! BroadComm greets BroadComm. :)
And another PS. I saw Lourd de Veyra last Friday at our college's carpark. He was at our college that day because he lead a talk about blogging, I think. I got starstruck. :>
I have been preoccupied with different things lately. School has been getting a lot of my time. During the past weeks, we passed different self-made recorded radio news programs for TV P&P, we did installation art for Humanities, I and Regina went to Cooperative Development Authority of the Philippines for DevComm interview, I practiced for Prometheus Bound play (DTA) and a whole lot more. Yes, it's really draining but we have to accomplish everything for the sake of learning and passing all the subjects. Despite of all these stress, I still feel happy because I can see how productive I am as each day of second sem goes by. Actually, I can't say anything bad towards my profs because all of them are great! There's still 7-8 weeks more before this semester ends but I know I can do it!
By the way, last, last week, we went to Nueva Ecija for the 8th Death Anniversary of Inang. It was a happy reunion. I enjoyed the company of my relatives and it was fun reminiscing the good old days. I and my cousins played different games in the perya then my sister and I sang different songs on the videoke. We stayed there only just for a day since we still have classes the following Monday.
And on that same week, we went to Mexican Embassy to get our visa. It's official! Yeeeeaaah~ I hope our trip will push through this Summer! :)
But there are still sad parts of life that I have to experience and surpass. I know that God would help me with this. I trust Him.

I didn't expect that this sem is going to be this great. I have an awesome set of professors. And perhaps, that alone contributes to the awesomeness of this semester. The excitement that I am feeling is a good release from the past sem which was really traumatic.Oh, well. I need to move on. We all need to continue with our lives because there are more to come. 'Cause if you stuck yourself in that sad part of your life, then you'll never grow and you'll never know what's ahead of you. :)

Let me introduce to you my new and good professors. I have Prof. Clarisse for Debate and Argumentation, Prof. Bucks for General Psychology, Prof. Benitez for Basic Economics. Then I also have two favorite professors for this semester -- Prof. Ricky and Prof. Davidson. Why do I like them? Because they are very much likeable. They are two cool professors, who both excel in their respective fields. Sir Ricky is my prof for Radio Production and Performance. He is a news anchor of DZMM. He teaches us a lot of things about radio newscasting. He gives us the preview of what happens in the field. He makes us laugh too! Whenever he speaks, it's as if we are transported to the radio booth. Just recently, there are three 'big events' that we did in his class. First, we had to do news gathering. We were grouped into five and we were assigned in different major and minor beats. Our group was tasked to gather news from the Senate. Second, we had our first quiz. He asked us to make ten stories out of what we have gathered from the field and the news that can be found on the broadsheet that day. I got to finish only three stories since it took time before I fully understood and capsulized what's written on the newspaper. In addition to that, I rewrote my work three times, I think. The time limit that was given to us was just an hour. Upon passing my paper, I felt bad since I wasn't able to finish ten stories. Though my worries vanished when Prof. Ricky handed to us our works last Monday and I saw a whopping 94 on my paper. As what he always tells us, "I am after quality, not quantity." Yay! That was pretty high but still, I must do better next time. Maybe I'll practice writing news for radio this break. We'll see. Third, he made us do live reporting. He made us assume that we are radio reporters who are in the field, doing a report without any written material being read. He also asked us several questions about our report as we speak, just like how it goes in real life. I hope I got a good grade. :) Next to be discussed is our Humaities professor.. Prof. David. He's 23 years old and he's currently taking his MA in Theatre Arts in UP Diliman. As I was stalking his Facebook account, I found out that one of his profs there is Tony Mabesa. Wow! He's a very talkative professor. He discusses lessons well. And almost all of us in his class like him.. or should I remove the 'almost'? :) Most of the girls in our class has a crush on him as well.. including me. Hihi. Well that's because he made us all feel comfortable. He tells a lot of stories, mostly, about his life, his experiences and even his crush. He plays and jokes with us too. We like him very much. We love him very much. :> We meet both of them once a week, during Mondays. That's why I look forward to Mondays. Best day of the week! =)))

My Christmas break started last Tuesday (earlier than expected). Well, thank you to my professors who gave us the privilege to have an early break. It has been productive so far. I'm done reading Tuesdays with Morrie (which made me cry!) and I also got to see The Lucky One already. Maybe I'll read The Last Song next then I'll watch The Road and the new episodes of Detective Conan (I am in love with Shinichi once again.) That'll be it for the meantime. :D

The annual event of PUP-College of Communication’s Young
Communicators’ Congress was held at the AFP Theater last October 19, 2012. The
theme of this year’s YCC was “Advocates of Peace and the Environment for
Sustainable Development”. The speakers that were invited to talk were from
different institutions and media
organizations. There were also moderators who manage the open forum part of
each session. These moderators came from our college’s roster of successful alumni
like Steve Dailisan, Papa Jack, Zhander Cayabyab to name a few.
To start the congress, there was Dr. Bradley Freeman from
Nanyang Technological University who gave his thoughts on the role of media in
the global marketplace. It was followed by the talk of Mr. Ed Karlon Rama who
discussed about peace and conflict resolution which again, media is part of.
Also, Atty. Michael Toledo from PHILEX Mining Company gave information about
media engagement in crisis communication. As an example, he shared the
company’s sentiments on the negative issues that they’ve been receiving. Atty.
Toledo was then followed by one of the successful alumnus of PUP who’s one of
the anchors of TV Patrol – Mr. Ted Failon. His topic focused on conflict
stories. He took a certain episode of his weekly program Failon Ngayon as an
example. Surely, he’s one of the bravest media personalities I’ve known. As he
spoke, I’ve seen in him how dedicated he is to his work, as he tries his best
to be of help to eliminate the problems of the nation. By the way, he had shared the stage with GMA-7’s Senior News Correspondent, Steve Dailisan on the
open forum. (Kind of awkward I guess, as they come from different media firms.
Though Steve lighten the awkward feels when he said “May Kapuso, may Kapamilya
pero parehong PUPian.”) On the latter part of the congress, Mr. Nathaniel Cruz
commonly known as Mang Tani, was the one who led the talk on media as a tool
for disaster preparedness. I was fortunate enough to get the chance to ask him
a question. (Ok. I’ll be having another blog post which will be more
elaborative focusing on this part. Since that blog post would be more of my
fangirl side, I decided not to bring it up in this post. Anyway, pardon me for
getting giddy and all but I hope you understand my fangirling hormones. Thank
you.) Papa Jack was the moderator for Mang Tani’s session. So my question was
about the projects or studies which can help in preparing for disasters in our
country. He replied that there are many studies that are being made to give
solutions to disaster-related problems but it is not an easy job and it should
be continuous. Kara David was the next to speak. She shared her experiences
during coverage of children in difficult situations. She never fails to amaze
me with her “lectures”. I always learn from her whenever she gives talks. (The
first time I heard her was during the Learniversity at PUP). The last three
speakers were Mr. Juan Armando Rojo of Public Relations Society of the
Philippines (Responsible Media for National Development); Mr. Jose Enrique
Africa of IBON Foundation (Advocacy Research: The IBON Foundation experience);
and Atty. Nepomuceno Malaluan, Co-convenor of Acess to Information Network
(Status of Freedom of Information Bill).
The day was filled with fun and learning. It has replaced
the tears that fell down from my eyes brought about by stress from the weeks that
had passed due to requirements that have yet to be accomplished. Looking

Finally, last night I was able to redeem the word that has been lost from my vocabulary. Yes, the word relaxation. Together with my sister, we went to my high school friend's debut. Yay! Sharlyn, you just got a year older. May you continue to aspire and work for your dreams. Hoping to see you someday as one of the successful CPAs! Anyway, we arrived there too early that if there has been an Early Bird award, that would've been us. The celebration started around 8. I got to bond and talk with my classmates and got the chance to have photo op with them as well. My 4th year adviser was there too. My sister was part of the 18 candles while I was part of the 18 toast. It ended around 10 pm. Despite the rain, it was still a fun night. :)
So today, as I am speaking, I am back to reality. There are still some tasks to be accomplished.

PS. I'm planning to start a fashion blog but I don't know when. I was really inspired by those fashion bloggers who mix and match beautiful clothes. And when we went to Divisoria last month to buy accessories and heels for this debut, I found really fashionable clothes. I promise to be back there and buy those stuffs. ♥
I do not have much time now to blog but whenever I have extra time, I still try to catch up. :) The three consecutive weeks that passed was more tiring than ever since I have to take alternative route to go to school. There have been some problems in one of the stations of PNR because the flood in Muntinlupa hasn't subsided yet. But I have a good news! Just recently, the trains are already up to Alabang. :))
School works haven't subsided yet as well. :( They continue coming in but I can still manage it, fortunately. :D There are a lot of things still lined up to be accomplished. I can do this! Next week's college week. I hope we'll not have classes so we could take a little more break.
Anyway, my blog has celebrated it's 4th birthday last August 20. Yay! I didn't expect that this blog would still be this active. Happy Birthday Christopher Antonio! May we share more years of happiness. ♥
First of all, I would like to welcome myself back to blogging! Since classes are suspended today, I have time to relax and to blog. :)
Yes, it`s been a while since I last posted here due to different reasons. One of these is that college life has been eating all my time. My freshmen year was not this busy that's why I was surprised to get bombarded with A LOT of school works. We had some reports, quizzes and a 50-page narrative for Writing for TV. I barely have time to relax but nonetheless, at least I'm learning a lot and I'm getting good grades. :)
But despite the tiring days of school, I still got the chance to attend the 8th Cinemalaya at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. I had planned to go after watching several trailers of the films that are part of the festival. I chose to watch Sta. Niña since my mom likes Coco Martin and its trailer made me curious what it's all about. So since I don't have classes during Fridays, I marked July 27 as one of my ultimate vacay day. :D After we went to PhilHealth and DFA for some agenda, we went straight to CCP. When I was about to buy tickets at the Box Office, I found out that Sta. Niña which will be shown that night was already sold-out. So we bought tickets for the following day's showing. I was really sick that Saturday but I still urged to attend my first class. I took the LRT 2 & LRT 1 and rode an orange jeep in Vito Cruz. When we were about to go inside the theater, I saw my former classmate Ranne. She was with her dad. The movie was great. If you like mainstream movies which is about love and other dragging topics, then this is not something that you would like. You might find it boring and all. But in my perception, I really liked it. The story was original. It was about a man who found his dead child (ten years later) whose coffin had been carried away by the lahar. But what's surprising about it was that baby girl still looks as if she died just days ago. That man kept his child in their house. Days later, there have been some visitors who visit Marikit (the child). They have been praying to the child to make them free from their diseases. In the succeeding days, they have thanked Pol (the father of the baby, played by Coco Martin) for the miracle that his child had brought them. When the mother of the baby (Madel, the cousin of Pol, played by Alessandra de Rossi) saw that their child had been found, she went to Pol's house. They had some arguments because Madel wants to bury the child and make her rest in peace but Pol insists to keep the child because of the alleged miracle it has been doing. And I think I have been spoiling you too much so I'll end my summary here. :) I think it will still be shown in UP Film Institute this week. :D Anyway, before I got out of CCP, I saw RAIMUND MARASIGAN. Yes, one of the members of the epic band, Eraserheads. I was literally just a few centimeters from him. \m/

I already filed my application for Dean's Lister. I am so happy because all my sweat were worth it. The whole process run smoothly and that's because of the kind SAs who assisted us. :>
I opened a bank account at BDO under the guidance of my mom. :) I`m going to beat Corona`s bank accounts. Just kidding. :P
We already met our PE professor last week. She said that we`ll have fun since we will just play and enjoy. I hope so.
My blockmates and I went to CHED yesterday to ask some information about their offered scholarships.
Since CHED is inside UPD, we met-up with Ina.♥
Our Phil Lit and Ethics professor started discussing already. He really wants arguments to rise but the thing is, he believes he is always correct.
I`m wishing myself good luck in my report for Public Info and Campaign by next week.
I don`t know what to say anymore and I have yet some things to finish. Bye for now! :D
My first week of classes had been just okay. We already met three out of seven professors that we have this semester. It was nice knowing new faces and I can feel that I will learn a lot from them. Our Phil Lit and Ethics prof, Sir Darius takes things lightly but he has a lot of requirements. Our Writing for TV prof, who was our college's former dean, let us do some writing activity and I must admit that my mind that time was still on vacation so I didn`t made my work very well. Lastly, Ma`am Bernabe, our Public Info and Campaign prof, introduced herself to us on the first day of class. She`s a cool professor. :D I`m hoping to meet my PE prof this week. By the way, my other three profs that we haven`t met yet was our former professors so we know them already. :)
I can feel that this sem is going to be stressful but exciting. Looking forward to all the activities that we`1ll be having and the lessons that we`ll be learning! :D

I remember my former adviser, Sir Jayron, saying
"Respect begets respect" everytime he holds sermon in our class way
back in 5th grade. I always keep that in mind. I made it sure to respect myself
and other people most especially the elderly as well as to things around me.
But I must admit that there are also times when I fail to do so when mood
swings hit me.
Yesterday, before I went to my PUP to pay for my balance, I
went to Cebuana Lhuillier to send money since mommy asked me to do it. Mr.
Security Guard opened the door for me, asked me what will I do, and gave me the
form to be filled upon. My transaction went well. I was pleased with their good
service and Mr. Security Guard truly shared his good vibes to me. Then I went
to PUP's accounting office. The lady cashier who I had transaction with wasn`t
in good mood, I guess. I was asking her politely how much should I pay because
I thought there`s an additional P100. But she replied to me with her voice,
attempting to rise. I just let it pass since it`s not even a big deal. And I`m
thankful because I saved P100 since she didn`t put a fine on my late payment.
So after I made my payment, I put the paper bills on my wallet. As I was fixing
my money, I heard the conversation of this girl who was next to me and the lady
on that number 7 cashier. The girl would like to pay her tuition fee last
semester but she hasn`t had her registration card (which is needed) since their
house got burnt but that lady replied to her in a not-so-good way. Afterwards,
I went to OSFA together with my blockmates. They pushed me inside to verify if
we can already apply for dean's lister. I waited patiently for my turn to be
called. Then when it was my turn, I asked this certain person for the exact
requirements. She spoke to me so fast that our conversation lasted in less than
a minute. Her face was like I-don`t-think-you-deserve-my-time. I felt quite sad
since that wasn`t the exact reaction/reply that I expect from her. I try to
understand those office personnel. They just wanted to be serious and
professional. And I believe their time is too precious to waste. Though I don`t
think they have to sacrifice their pleasing personality while being
professional in their line of job.
A thought popped in my mind. Why do other people choose not
to show their good side when they are actually capable of doing it? We are all
entitled to respect. Each of us deserves it – regardless of age or even stature
in life. I hope everybody has the similar attitude like those security guards
whom I`ve met or the fastfood crews who had served me nicely. They take things
lightly even if they are tired and I admire them for doing that (compared to
people who treats me like I don`t even deserve any courtesy).
I am not expecting our university`s administrators to change
their attitude towards their students but I hope that one day, they`ll find a
way to be more pleasant. I hope.
Went to PUP to apply for dean's lister but the admins in OSFA said that application for DL starts on the regular class day. (They change their statements from time to time. They told me before that application starts on enrollment period :/)
SIS sucked yesterday. I can't access properly since a lot of students are enrolling too. But Thank God, after almost 30 minutes of retrying, I finally got enrolled. :D
Here's my number, so call me maybe. my 2nd year-1st semester schedule. I`m still glad to have this kind of schedule despite the fact that I have Saturday classes. Hehe. But definitely, 9 am classes are better than 7:30 am classes and 7:30 pm dismissals are better than 9 pm dismissals. =))
So this is the assessment of my tuition fee. There`s an additional fee to be paid (Red Cross Membership Fee) but I do not have any idea on how will it be used. The Communicator (our college`s official paper) is also included now in our tuition so we won`t have to pay for it every sem. :)
I barely have 2 more weeks to enjoy my vacation. It`s a good idea to utilize my time properly. I must do something productive. I must.

I can't sleep yet. I want to talk about the things that happened lately.
Can you still remember my post about the Lady Gaga concert which I dreamt about? Hahaha! I was just amused by the fact that it partly came true. Well, my brother and I didn`t went tot the concert but.. the thing which I didn`t expect to happen, happened. Ely Buendia was there! I was laughing while watching that news report. Really, that was so unexpected.
Last week, mom and I went to daddy`s Alma Mater to get a certified true copy of his diploma and transcript of records. I was stunned by it's buildings. Okay. I`m being exaggerated here but believe me, PUP is not that clean and organized. I must admit TIP is a private university so it`s just normal to have those kind of facilities. How I hope, one day state universities would upgrade as well. :D
Our family had a tiring weekend. We had a general cleaning in our beloved abode last Saturday. The following day, we went to buy school supplies and groceries and hear mass. It was a very fun date with my family. We haven`t done that for quite some time. I missed that. :>
This coming Friday, my blockmates and I will apply for dean`s lister. I hope we`ll be able to do it successfully. Plus, we`ll also enroll. Looking forward to that busy day!
A while ago, mommy and daddy was on Skype. It was nice hearing daddy again since it`s only today that we regained a good internet connection! Hahaha! But anyway, daddy had some great news for us. Hihihi.
I think that would be all. I`m now sleepy. I would love to make a new blog post later about the verdict of the senator-judges in the impeachment trial. Good Morning! :)
Finally, after weeks of waiting, all my grades have been encoded already. I feel so blessed because I got really good grades this sem. or should I say, BETTER grades compared to my first semester grades? :) I love how I improved eventually; like a butterfly in its metamorphosis phase. Seeing my grades made me believe that I performed very well in my previous semester. Haha! I finished 2 theses, 1 music video, term papers and a lot more. My body is the living proof of how tiring my second sem was. My high school classmates (during Rich's graduation) told me that I looked thinner now. That's why this summer, I'm enjoying my 10 am wake up time to make up for the times when I wake up so early. :D Anyway, all I want to do right now is thank the Lord for this wonderful blessing that I have received. I promise to work even harder and aim for even better grades. You know, this achievement is not only for myself but for the people around me as well. And not to forget, my newest INSPIRATION who makes me smile, without him even knowing. :"> Thinking of him makes me more eager to achieve more. And I'm very grateful about that. :)
BTW, the combined GWA of the 2 sems in my first year is 1.71. Which means, I've reached the cut-off grade required in order to transfer to UP. Yeay! But the sad thing is.. I don't think my UPDream would happen any time soon. Because we're prioritizing on more important things. Yeah, it's really sad but I understand that completely. Let's see next year or in the coming years. I'll be patient. I promise. :D
I can’t believe that it’s already SUMMER! After all the tiring, sleepless days and nights, I finally reached the end of the second semester and my first academic year in college! And I want to thank God for guiding me everyday and for helping me get through all the challenges that came my way. I experienced a lot of things in just one year. I must say it was fun as well as fulfilling. I`ll be missing my friends but who can`t say no to SUMMER?! =)))) Now, all I have to do is to wait for my grades. Actually, I already saw one of my grades. I got 1.25 in one of my major subjects. :D May God continue to bless me. <3
PS. Dreamt about Sir Joey (My first sem, English professor who is the ultimate crush of the whole PUP community. Haha! :"">) last night.
I`ve been busy these past weeks so I hardly have time to blog. :/ Anyway, a lot of things happened since I last posted here. Last March 2, we stayed overnight at a barangay hall in Sta. Mesa! It was really a weird experience. We were supposed to go to Bulacan that night, after dismissal but because my blockmates were still in Cavite for the recording of the song of our Music Video (and they actually stayed there that night since traveling that late would be dangerous), we decided to look for a place to stay until we ended up asking permission from the kagawad if we could stay. They let us in and we slept there. The following morning, Clarisse, Jerome and I went outside to buy something to eat. It was my first time to see PUP that peaceful. Hahaha! Around 9, we left for San Rafael, Bulacan. During the trip, I reminisce the good old days when we still visit our provinces. It`s been such a long, long, long time when we last went to Nueva Ecija or Isabela or Bulacan. There were a lot of wide green fields and animals -- the usual sight. We reached Joyce`s house at 12. Their house is located beside the fields. I love the ambience. After we ate lunch, we made the props then after which, we went to a cave and we swam in the spring. I slept at 10 pm. I woke up early because of the rooster`s sound. :) We started shooting some scenes after we ate our breakfast. We had a very sumptuous lunch at Joyce`s relatives` house since it was her tita`s birthday. The food was so delicious and we ate lechon! We finished the shoot at 4 pm then we went back to the house we were staying at and fixed ourselves for the trip back to Manila. It was dark when we left San Rafael. Rezah, Wenmark and I rode the MRT then I took a bus to Alabang. I think I got home at around 10:30 pm. It was really tiring but I enjoyed it so much. I was together with 17 of my blockmates and I didn`t expected that I`ll get to bond with all of them. I want to be with the Charlie Productions once again! :D
Before I forgot, I got 1.25 grade in our PE recital. =)))
This week, we were busy making props for our Speech Choir competition. But all the sweat and blood are worth it because we were awarded as 1st place. We beat 3 other sections! BTW, congrats to I-1D for being the champion! :D
Yesterday, after the competition, our group started conducting some survey for our Thesis in English. Our Defense was scheduled on Thursday so help us God. :)
Hell weeks to sum it up. Haha! But it`ll be over soon since March 16 will be the last day for the Acad Year 2011-2012. \m/

It was one of the most unexpected days of my life. Haha! I just turned eighteen last Monday. :)
I woke up at 4 am because I had to finish doing our TV show evaluation for our BRCO 3023 midterm.
Then I saw on my Facebook timeline some greetings from my friends.
I was surprised upon seeing that it was already 5 am so I hurriedly took a bath and had my breakfast. My sister almost forgot to greet me while everyone else in our house hasn’t got the chance to greet me since they are all asleep.
First time, as far as I can remember, that it rained on my birthday.
It was so awkward because I wore a brown shoes and my domo bag is brown plus I'm holding this brown bag where I put my books and kuya's netbook (I brought it since we have an AVP report). :)
I got a seat on the train (lucky!).
When I entered our college, Paolo, JJ and Maricar greeted me when they saw me walking through the corridors.
My blockmates also bombarded me with greetings when I entered room 111.
And even during my report in AVT, they sang me a birthday song. I almost melt. Hihihi. I was contented and happy on how our group’s report went.
Then during our break, I was so occupied with a lot of tasks.
Had lunch with Rezah and Erlaine.
Fell asleep during BRCO 3023. HAHAHAHAHAHA! That was so fail!

Finally, I took my midterm in FILI 1023. I was amazed with my performance in our midterm. We were asked to make 2 poems and then continue 4 unfinished stories. Words just came out of my head and I made the poem effortlessly. I felt like there was MAGIC. I really don’t understand how everything transpired that time. :O

I had no eighteen roses or sweet dance or expensive gifts or elegant clothes or even cake but I had the best friends which gave me so much happiness yesterday. Erlaine, Rezah and Suzette gave me hand-written letters. They’re so, so sweet. My blockmates didn’t got tired greeting me, like a hundred times. :) It was still a fun day even if I got really sad that night with some too-long-story-I-don’t-want-to-elaborate. And not to forget, I want to give my utmost appreciation. Thanks to all of you, who greeted me on Facebook. To Ina, who tweeted me that she was supposed to gave me a gift but because of the rain, she hadn’t got the chance to go to our house. And most especially thank you, God for your never-ending love and understanding. I love you all. ♥

Finally, Jerome lent me his book Si Amapola sa 65 na kabanata! I started reading it last Monday (during breaks). Speaking of Monday! Our first class was AVT. The midterm was easier than expected most specially if one reviewed the hand-outs very well. I`m so glad that I spent my whole Sunday memorizing all the technical terms AVT has to offer! Thank you, Lord! :D Then I spent my lunch with Erlaine, Rezah and Haziel. After which, Regina and I went to our college`s library and had a research for our AVT report next week. I thought we would not find any books related to our topic but we actually found one. Sadly, we got late for the next class. :/ Our last class which was Filipino, for the first time, was amazing. We made short stories called dagli and it was fun hearing all the stories we`ve made. We were dismissed around 9. It was my first time to be there until 9pm. O__O
I`m already on the 128th page of Amapola which has 364 pages. It`s theme is satirical, just like Bob Ong. It tackles the problems the country has been facing for years and how Filipinos react to these issues. It has R-18 scenes. Hahaha!
I think that would be all for now. I still have lots of work to do. :/
PS. I got a mail from LBC saying that they failed to deliver the CD I sold and so they had to dispose it. But I think, somebody would claim it. I hope he could.
I`ve been going through some difficult problems lately and I know I`m not capable of handling them on my own. I`m getting crazy and weird over my dilemmas. It`s sad to know that through all the things that I surpassed, I`m still weak whenever trials come. T___T
But because my friends were there to cheer me up and bring up conversations that would make me feel better then I have to thank them. Even if they have problems of their own, they still give time to comfort me. It was so fun having new friends like them. We laugh and talk as if nobody`s watching us. Hahaha!

We were so surprised last October when we received the message that our documentary, Agapayan had been officially selected by the committee of Catholic Mass Media Awards. We weren't really expecting that such a big announcement will shake us out. We've tried to send out the entry but our expectation was really low because we know the standards of this great award giving body plus of course, the pressure of other participating universities like La Salle, Ateneo and Letran.
Last Friday was the judgement day. Our Executive Producer (Kabie) and Director (Mark) headed to GSIS theater to represent our production team, Bravo Prod. Together with them is our beloved dean and professor, Dr. Edna T. Bernabe. As I reviewed the list of the finalists a day before the event, I felt that the other documentaries in our category were also great (getting ideas from the titles alone). So it was too overwhelming to know that we made it. We won the Best Student TV Production. It was just yesterday that I took hold and felt the 'rock' award and up until now, I am still on cloud nine. Been receiving a lot of congratulatory messages from schoolmates, professors (Sir Ricky Rosales even greeted us a while ago on his DZMM radio program. Hihi.), family and friends and daddy just said that my roundtrip ticket to L.A. is assured, perhaps this summer. I just can't believe it all.
I can't thank God enough for all these overflowing blessings. This year had been so great to me. Thank you to Catholic Mass Media Awards for this recognition. It means a lot to us, budding media practitioners. This makes us even inspired. Again, thank you Lord. Just, thank you.

It feels so great to accomplish all the requirements on time. Our vacation had been delayed for a week but still, our class extension ran smooth so it didn't really gave me that much stress. This sem had been really fulfilling. I have experienced and learned a lot of things which will really be helpful in my future job. News gathering at the senate, radio and TV documentaries, series of plays, and TV and radio program simulation were just some of the highlights of this sem. Plus in our minor subjects, we had Humanities Fest (a contest of different arts) and debate match against the other section in our subject, Debate.
I thank God for giving me all the strength to get through all the hurdles of every semester. :)
And now, here are some of my plans for summer:
Finish a short story or essay.
Watch a lot of movies.
Read books.
Be productive at home.

Right in time for the Holy Week. I will be leaving you with this documentary we made for our final requirement in one of our major subjects. I'm one of the researchers here:
February 13, 2013 had been a happy day for me. Everything ran fine. We only have two classes that day -- PE and Drama and Theatre Arts. We tried playing basketball and it was.. not-so good. Hahaha! Then we just watched some samples of Kabuki plays for our DTA class. Afterwhich, I, Erlaine and Rezah went to the Interfaith chapel. It was my first time to attend a mass in that chapel inside our university. A lot of people were there that Wednesday, since that was Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. At about 6 pm, we left for Cavite for my mini-birthday celebration. We arrived at our house at 8:30. Then we munch over some food and we watched Pitch Perfect. I have actually watched it around ten times or more already (but the acapella parts only) but they haven't watched it yet so I let them see the film. We all slept at 2 am. The following day, we had some mini-pictorial in our garden. It was awesome. The air was cooperating with us that time. Haha! Anyway, happy birthday to me! May I succeed in all my endeavors and may God continue to guide and help me along my journey. :)
A few more weeks and it's summer once again. I hope that in the remaining weeks, we could finish everything that needs to be done for this sem.
And I suddenly felt the I-am-not-in-the-mood-for-blogging-feeling so I'm putting a period now.
PS. I greeted Tina Panganiban-Perez on my birthday upon knowing that it was also her birthday. And she replied to me with a greeting too! :) Yeay! BroadComm greets BroadComm. :)
And another PS. I saw Lourd de Veyra last Friday at our college's carpark. He was at our college that day because he lead a talk about blogging, I think. I got starstruck. :>
I have been preoccupied with different things lately. School has been getting a lot of my time. During the past weeks, we passed different self-made recorded radio news programs for TV P&P, we did installation art for Humanities, I and Regina went to Cooperative Development Authority of the Philippines for DevComm interview, I practiced for Prometheus Bound play (DTA) and a whole lot more. Yes, it's really draining but we have to accomplish everything for the sake of learning and passing all the subjects. Despite of all these stress, I still feel happy because I can see how productive I am as each day of second sem goes by. Actually, I can't say anything bad towards my profs because all of them are great! There's still 7-8 weeks more before this semester ends but I know I can do it!
By the way, last, last week, we went to Nueva Ecija for the 8th Death Anniversary of Inang. It was a happy reunion. I enjoyed the company of my relatives and it was fun reminiscing the good old days. I and my cousins played different games in the perya then my sister and I sang different songs on the videoke. We stayed there only just for a day since we still have classes the following Monday.
And on that same week, we went to Mexican Embassy to get our visa. It's official! Yeeeeaaah~ I hope our trip will push through this Summer! :)
But there are still sad parts of life that I have to experience and surpass. I know that God would help me with this. I trust Him.

I didn't expect that this sem is going to be this great. I have an awesome set of professors. And perhaps, that alone contributes to the awesomeness of this semester. The excitement that I am feeling is a good release from the past sem which was really traumatic.Oh, well. I need to move on. We all need to continue with our lives because there are more to come. 'Cause if you stuck yourself in that sad part of your life, then you'll never grow and you'll never know what's ahead of you. :)

Let me introduce to you my new and good professors. I have Prof. Clarisse for Debate and Argumentation, Prof. Bucks for General Psychology, Prof. Benitez for Basic Economics. Then I also have two favorite professors for this semester -- Prof. Ricky and Prof. Davidson. Why do I like them? Because they are very much likeable. They are two cool professors, who both excel in their respective fields. Sir Ricky is my prof for Radio Production and Performance. He is a news anchor of DZMM. He teaches us a lot of things about radio newscasting. He gives us the preview of what happens in the field. He makes us laugh too! Whenever he speaks, it's as if we are transported to the radio booth. Just recently, there are three 'big events' that we did in his class. First, we had to do news gathering. We were grouped into five and we were assigned in different major and minor beats. Our group was tasked to gather news from the Senate. Second, we had our first quiz. He asked us to make ten stories out of what we have gathered from the field and the news that can be found on the broadsheet that day. I got to finish only three stories since it took time before I fully understood and capsulized what's written on the newspaper. In addition to that, I rewrote my work three times, I think. The time limit that was given to us was just an hour. Upon passing my paper, I felt bad since I wasn't able to finish ten stories. Though my worries vanished when Prof. Ricky handed to us our works last Monday and I saw a whopping 94 on my paper. As what he always tells us, "I am after quality, not quantity." Yay! That was pretty high but still, I must do better next time. Maybe I'll practice writing news for radio this break. We'll see. Third, he made us do live reporting. He made us assume that we are radio reporters who are in the field, doing a report without any written material being read. He also asked us several questions about our report as we speak, just like how it goes in real life. I hope I got a good grade. :) Next to be discussed is our Humaities professor.. Prof. David. He's 23 years old and he's currently taking his MA in Theatre Arts in UP Diliman. As I was stalking his Facebook account, I found out that one of his profs there is Tony Mabesa. Wow! He's a very talkative professor. He discusses lessons well. And almost all of us in his class like him.. or should I remove the 'almost'? :) Most of the girls in our class has a crush on him as well.. including me. Hihi. Well that's because he made us all feel comfortable. He tells a lot of stories, mostly, about his life, his experiences and even his crush. He plays and jokes with us too. We like him very much. We love him very much. :> We meet both of them once a week, during Mondays. That's why I look forward to Mondays. Best day of the week! =)))

My Christmas break started last Tuesday (earlier than expected). Well, thank you to my professors who gave us the privilege to have an early break. It has been productive so far. I'm done reading Tuesdays with Morrie (which made me cry!) and I also got to see The Lucky One already. Maybe I'll read The Last Song next then I'll watch The Road and the new episodes of Detective Conan (I am in love with Shinichi once again.) That'll be it for the meantime. :D

The annual event of PUP-College of Communication’s Young
Communicators’ Congress was held at the AFP Theater last October 19, 2012. The
theme of this year’s YCC was “Advocates of Peace and the Environment for
Sustainable Development”. The speakers that were invited to talk were from
different institutions and media
organizations. There were also moderators who manage the open forum part of
each session. These moderators came from our college’s roster of successful alumni
like Steve Dailisan, Papa Jack, Zhander Cayabyab to name a few.
To start the congress, there was Dr. Bradley Freeman from
Nanyang Technological University who gave his thoughts on the role of media in
the global marketplace. It was followed by the talk of Mr. Ed Karlon Rama who
discussed about peace and conflict resolution which again, media is part of.
Also, Atty. Michael Toledo from PHILEX Mining Company gave information about
media engagement in crisis communication. As an example, he shared the
company’s sentiments on the negative issues that they’ve been receiving. Atty.
Toledo was then followed by one of the successful alumnus of PUP who’s one of
the anchors of TV Patrol – Mr. Ted Failon. His topic focused on conflict
stories. He took a certain episode of his weekly program Failon Ngayon as an
example. Surely, he’s one of the bravest media personalities I’ve known. As he
spoke, I’ve seen in him how dedicated he is to his work, as he tries his best
to be of help to eliminate the problems of the nation. By the way, he had shared the stage with GMA-7’s Senior News Correspondent, Steve Dailisan on the
open forum. (Kind of awkward I guess, as they come from different media firms.
Though Steve lighten the awkward feels when he said “May Kapuso, may Kapamilya
pero parehong PUPian.”) On the latter part of the congress, Mr. Nathaniel Cruz
commonly known as Mang Tani, was the one who led the talk on media as a tool
for disaster preparedness. I was fortunate enough to get the chance to ask him
a question. (Ok. I’ll be having another blog post which will be more
elaborative focusing on this part. Since that blog post would be more of my
fangirl side, I decided not to bring it up in this post. Anyway, pardon me for
getting giddy and all but I hope you understand my fangirling hormones. Thank
you.) Papa Jack was the moderator for Mang Tani’s session. So my question was
about the projects or studies which can help in preparing for disasters in our
country. He replied that there are many studies that are being made to give
solutions to disaster-related problems but it is not an easy job and it should
be continuous. Kara David was the next to speak. She shared her experiences
during coverage of children in difficult situations. She never fails to amaze
me with her “lectures”. I always learn from her whenever she gives talks. (The
first time I heard her was during the Learniversity at PUP). The last three
speakers were Mr. Juan Armando Rojo of Public Relations Society of the
Philippines (Responsible Media for National Development); Mr. Jose Enrique
Africa of IBON Foundation (Advocacy Research: The IBON Foundation experience);
and Atty. Nepomuceno Malaluan, Co-convenor of Acess to Information Network
(Status of Freedom of Information Bill).
The day was filled with fun and learning. It has replaced
the tears that fell down from my eyes brought about by stress from the weeks that
had passed due to requirements that have yet to be accomplished. Looking

Finally, last night I was able to redeem the word that has been lost from my vocabulary. Yes, the word relaxation. Together with my sister, we went to my high school friend's debut. Yay! Sharlyn, you just got a year older. May you continue to aspire and work for your dreams. Hoping to see you someday as one of the successful CPAs! Anyway, we arrived there too early that if there has been an Early Bird award, that would've been us. The celebration started around 8. I got to bond and talk with my classmates and got the chance to have photo op with them as well. My 4th year adviser was there too. My sister was part of the 18 candles while I was part of the 18 toast. It ended around 10 pm. Despite the rain, it was still a fun night. :)
So today, as I am speaking, I am back to reality. There are still some tasks to be accomplished.

PS. I'm planning to start a fashion blog but I don't know when. I was really inspired by those fashion bloggers who mix and match beautiful clothes. And when we went to Divisoria last month to buy accessories and heels for this debut, I found really fashionable clothes. I promise to be back there and buy those stuffs. ♥
I do not have much time now to blog but whenever I have extra time, I still try to catch up. :) The three consecutive weeks that passed was more tiring than ever since I have to take alternative route to go to school. There have been some problems in one of the stations of PNR because the flood in Muntinlupa hasn't subsided yet. But I have a good news! Just recently, the trains are already up to Alabang. :))
School works haven't subsided yet as well. :( They continue coming in but I can still manage it, fortunately. :D There are a lot of things still lined up to be accomplished. I can do this! Next week's college week. I hope we'll not have classes so we could take a little more break.
Anyway, my blog has celebrated it's 4th birthday last August 20. Yay! I didn't expect that this blog would still be this active. Happy Birthday Christopher Antonio! May we share more years of happiness. ♥
First of all, I would like to welcome myself back to blogging! Since classes are suspended today, I have time to relax and to blog. :)
Yes, it`s been a while since I last posted here due to different reasons. One of these is that college life has been eating all my time. My freshmen year was not this busy that's why I was surprised to get bombarded with A LOT of school works. We had some reports, quizzes and a 50-page narrative for Writing for TV. I barely have time to relax but nonetheless, at least I'm learning a lot and I'm getting good grades. :)
But despite the tiring days of school, I still got the chance to attend the 8th Cinemalaya at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. I had planned to go after watching several trailers of the films that are part of the festival. I chose to watch Sta. Niña since my mom likes Coco Martin and its trailer made me curious what it's all about. So since I don't have classes during Fridays, I marked July 27 as one of my ultimate vacay day. :D After we went to PhilHealth and DFA for some agenda, we went straight to CCP. When I was about to buy tickets at the Box Office, I found out that Sta. Niña which will be shown that night was already sold-out. So we bought tickets for the following day's showing. I was really sick that Saturday but I still urged to attend my first class. I took the LRT 2 & LRT 1 and rode an orange jeep in Vito Cruz. When we were about to go inside the theater, I saw my former classmate Ranne. She was with her dad. The movie was great. If you like mainstream movies which is about love and other dragging topics, then this is not something that you would like. You might find it boring and all. But in my perception, I really liked it. The story was original. It was about a man who found his dead child (ten years later) whose coffin had been carried away by the lahar. But what's surprising about it was that baby girl still looks as if she died just days ago. That man kept his child in their house. Days later, there have been some visitors who visit Marikit (the child). They have been praying to the child to make them free from their diseases. In the succeeding days, they have thanked Pol (the father of the baby, played by Coco Martin) for the miracle that his child had brought them. When the mother of the baby (Madel, the cousin of Pol, played by Alessandra de Rossi) saw that their child had been found, she went to Pol's house. They had some arguments because Madel wants to bury the child and make her rest in peace but Pol insists to keep the child because of the alleged miracle it has been doing. And I think I have been spoiling you too much so I'll end my summary here. :) I think it will still be shown in UP Film Institute this week. :D Anyway, before I got out of CCP, I saw RAIMUND MARASIGAN. Yes, one of the members of the epic band, Eraserheads. I was literally just a few centimeters from him. \m/

I already filed my application for Dean's Lister. I am so happy because all my sweat were worth it. The whole process run smoothly and that's because of the kind SAs who assisted us. :>
I opened a bank account at BDO under the guidance of my mom. :) I`m going to beat Corona`s bank accounts. Just kidding. :P
We already met our PE professor last week. She said that we`ll have fun since we will just play and enjoy. I hope so.
My blockmates and I went to CHED yesterday to ask some information about their offered scholarships.
Since CHED is inside UPD, we met-up with Ina.♥
Our Phil Lit and Ethics professor started discussing already. He really wants arguments to rise but the thing is, he believes he is always correct.
I`m wishing myself good luck in my report for Public Info and Campaign by next week.
I don`t know what to say anymore and I have yet some things to finish. Bye for now! :D
My first week of classes had been just okay. We already met three out of seven professors that we have this semester. It was nice knowing new faces and I can feel that I will learn a lot from them. Our Phil Lit and Ethics prof, Sir Darius takes things lightly but he has a lot of requirements. Our Writing for TV prof, who was our college's former dean, let us do some writing activity and I must admit that my mind that time was still on vacation so I didn`t made my work very well. Lastly, Ma`am Bernabe, our Public Info and Campaign prof, introduced herself to us on the first day of class. She`s a cool professor. :D I`m hoping to meet my PE prof this week. By the way, my other three profs that we haven`t met yet was our former professors so we know them already. :)
I can feel that this sem is going to be stressful but exciting. Looking forward to all the activities that we`1ll be having and the lessons that we`ll be learning! :D

I remember my former adviser, Sir Jayron, saying
"Respect begets respect" everytime he holds sermon in our class way
back in 5th grade. I always keep that in mind. I made it sure to respect myself
and other people most especially the elderly as well as to things around me.
But I must admit that there are also times when I fail to do so when mood
swings hit me.
Yesterday, before I went to my PUP to pay for my balance, I
went to Cebuana Lhuillier to send money since mommy asked me to do it. Mr.
Security Guard opened the door for me, asked me what will I do, and gave me the
form to be filled upon. My transaction went well. I was pleased with their good
service and Mr. Security Guard truly shared his good vibes to me. Then I went
to PUP's accounting office. The lady cashier who I had transaction with wasn`t
in good mood, I guess. I was asking her politely how much should I pay because
I thought there`s an additional P100. But she replied to me with her voice,
attempting to rise. I just let it pass since it`s not even a big deal. And I`m
thankful because I saved P100 since she didn`t put a fine on my late payment.
So after I made my payment, I put the paper bills on my wallet. As I was fixing
my money, I heard the conversation of this girl who was next to me and the lady
on that number 7 cashier. The girl would like to pay her tuition fee last
semester but she hasn`t had her registration card (which is needed) since their
house got burnt but that lady replied to her in a not-so-good way. Afterwards,
I went to OSFA together with my blockmates. They pushed me inside to verify if
we can already apply for dean's lister. I waited patiently for my turn to be
called. Then when it was my turn, I asked this certain person for the exact
requirements. She spoke to me so fast that our conversation lasted in less than
a minute. Her face was like I-don`t-think-you-deserve-my-time. I felt quite sad
since that wasn`t the exact reaction/reply that I expect from her. I try to
understand those office personnel. They just wanted to be serious and
professional. And I believe their time is too precious to waste. Though I don`t
think they have to sacrifice their pleasing personality while being
professional in their line of job.
A thought popped in my mind. Why do other people choose not
to show their good side when they are actually capable of doing it? We are all
entitled to respect. Each of us deserves it – regardless of age or even stature
in life. I hope everybody has the similar attitude like those security guards
whom I`ve met or the fastfood crews who had served me nicely. They take things
lightly even if they are tired and I admire them for doing that (compared to
people who treats me like I don`t even deserve any courtesy).
I am not expecting our university`s administrators to change
their attitude towards their students but I hope that one day, they`ll find a
way to be more pleasant. I hope.
Went to PUP to apply for dean's lister but the admins in OSFA said that application for DL starts on the regular class day. (They change their statements from time to time. They told me before that application starts on enrollment period :/)
SIS sucked yesterday. I can't access properly since a lot of students are enrolling too. But Thank God, after almost 30 minutes of retrying, I finally got enrolled. :D
Here's my number, so call me maybe. my 2nd year-1st semester schedule. I`m still glad to have this kind of schedule despite the fact that I have Saturday classes. Hehe. But definitely, 9 am classes are better than 7:30 am classes and 7:30 pm dismissals are better than 9 pm dismissals. =))
So this is the assessment of my tuition fee. There`s an additional fee to be paid (Red Cross Membership Fee) but I do not have any idea on how will it be used. The Communicator (our college`s official paper) is also included now in our tuition so we won`t have to pay for it every sem. :)
I barely have 2 more weeks to enjoy my vacation. It`s a good idea to utilize my time properly. I must do something productive. I must.

I can't sleep yet. I want to talk about the things that happened lately.
Can you still remember my post about the Lady Gaga concert which I dreamt about? Hahaha! I was just amused by the fact that it partly came true. Well, my brother and I didn`t went tot the concert but.. the thing which I didn`t expect to happen, happened. Ely Buendia was there! I was laughing while watching that news report. Really, that was so unexpected.
Last week, mom and I went to daddy`s Alma Mater to get a certified true copy of his diploma and transcript of records. I was stunned by it's buildings. Okay. I`m being exaggerated here but believe me, PUP is not that clean and organized. I must admit TIP is a private university so it`s just normal to have those kind of facilities. How I hope, one day state universities would upgrade as well. :D
Our family had a tiring weekend. We had a general cleaning in our beloved abode last Saturday. The following day, we went to buy school supplies and groceries and hear mass. It was a very fun date with my family. We haven`t done that for quite some time. I missed that. :>
This coming Friday, my blockmates and I will apply for dean`s lister. I hope we`ll be able to do it successfully. Plus, we`ll also enroll. Looking forward to that busy day!
A while ago, mommy and daddy was on Skype. It was nice hearing daddy again since it`s only today that we regained a good internet connection! Hahaha! But anyway, daddy had some great news for us. Hihihi.
I think that would be all. I`m now sleepy. I would love to make a new blog post later about the verdict of the senator-judges in the impeachment trial. Good Morning! :)
Finally, after weeks of waiting, all my grades have been encoded already. I feel so blessed because I got really good grades this sem. or should I say, BETTER grades compared to my first semester grades? :) I love how I improved eventually; like a butterfly in its metamorphosis phase. Seeing my grades made me believe that I performed very well in my previous semester. Haha! I finished 2 theses, 1 music video, term papers and a lot more. My body is the living proof of how tiring my second sem was. My high school classmates (during Rich's graduation) told me that I looked thinner now. That's why this summer, I'm enjoying my 10 am wake up time to make up for the times when I wake up so early. :D Anyway, all I want to do right now is thank the Lord for this wonderful blessing that I have received. I promise to work even harder and aim for even better grades. You know, this achievement is not only for myself but for the people around me as well. And not to forget, my newest INSPIRATION who makes me smile, without him even knowing. :"> Thinking of him makes me more eager to achieve more. And I'm very grateful about that. :)
BTW, the combined GWA of the 2 sems in my first year is 1.71. Which means, I've reached the cut-off grade required in order to transfer to UP. Yeay! But the sad thing is.. I don't think my UPDream would happen any time soon. Because we're prioritizing on more important things. Yeah, it's really sad but I understand that completely. Let's see next year or in the coming years. I'll be patient. I promise. :D
I can’t believe that it’s already SUMMER! After all the tiring, sleepless days and nights, I finally reached the end of the second semester and my first academic year in college! And I want to thank God for guiding me everyday and for helping me get through all the challenges that came my way. I experienced a lot of things in just one year. I must say it was fun as well as fulfilling. I`ll be missing my friends but who can`t say no to SUMMER?! =)))) Now, all I have to do is to wait for my grades. Actually, I already saw one of my grades. I got 1.25 in one of my major subjects. :D May God continue to bless me. <3
PS. Dreamt about Sir Joey (My first sem, English professor who is the ultimate crush of the whole PUP community. Haha! :"">) last night.
I`ve been busy these past weeks so I hardly have time to blog. :/ Anyway, a lot of things happened since I last posted here. Last March 2, we stayed overnight at a barangay hall in Sta. Mesa! It was really a weird experience. We were supposed to go to Bulacan that night, after dismissal but because my blockmates were still in Cavite for the recording of the song of our Music Video (and they actually stayed there that night since traveling that late would be dangerous), we decided to look for a place to stay until we ended up asking permission from the kagawad if we could stay. They let us in and we slept there. The following morning, Clarisse, Jerome and I went outside to buy something to eat. It was my first time to see PUP that peaceful. Hahaha! Around 9, we left for San Rafael, Bulacan. During the trip, I reminisce the good old days when we still visit our provinces. It`s been such a long, long, long time when we last went to Nueva Ecija or Isabela or Bulacan. There were a lot of wide green fields and animals -- the usual sight. We reached Joyce`s house at 12. Their house is located beside the fields. I love the ambience. After we ate lunch, we made the props then after which, we went to a cave and we swam in the spring. I slept at 10 pm. I woke up early because of the rooster`s sound. :) We started shooting some scenes after we ate our breakfast. We had a very sumptuous lunch at Joyce`s relatives` house since it was her tita`s birthday. The food was so delicious and we ate lechon! We finished the shoot at 4 pm then we went back to the house we were staying at and fixed ourselves for the trip back to Manila. It was dark when we left San Rafael. Rezah, Wenmark and I rode the MRT then I took a bus to Alabang. I think I got home at around 10:30 pm. It was really tiring but I enjoyed it so much. I was together with 17 of my blockmates and I didn`t expected that I`ll get to bond with all of them. I want to be with the Charlie Productions once again! :D
Before I forgot, I got 1.25 grade in our PE recital. =)))
This week, we were busy making props for our Speech Choir competition. But all the sweat and blood are worth it because we were awarded as 1st place. We beat 3 other sections! BTW, congrats to I-1D for being the champion! :D
Yesterday, after the competition, our group started conducting some survey for our Thesis in English. Our Defense was scheduled on Thursday so help us God. :)
Hell weeks to sum it up. Haha! But it`ll be over soon since March 16 will be the last day for the Acad Year 2011-2012. \m/

It was one of the most unexpected days of my life. Haha! I just turned eighteen last Monday. :)
I woke up at 4 am because I had to finish doing our TV show evaluation for our BRCO 3023 midterm.
Then I saw on my Facebook timeline some greetings from my friends.
I was surprised upon seeing that it was already 5 am so I hurriedly took a bath and had my breakfast. My sister almost forgot to greet me while everyone else in our house hasn’t got the chance to greet me since they are all asleep.
First time, as far as I can remember, that it rained on my birthday.
It was so awkward because I wore a brown shoes and my domo bag is brown plus I'm holding this brown bag where I put my books and kuya's netbook (I brought it since we have an AVP report). :)
I got a seat on the train (lucky!).
When I entered our college, Paolo, JJ and Maricar greeted me when they saw me walking through the corridors.
My blockmates also bombarded me with greetings when I entered room 111.
And even during my report in AVT, they sang me a birthday song. I almost melt. Hihihi. I was contented and happy on how our group’s report went.
Then during our break, I was so occupied with a lot of tasks.
Had lunch with Rezah and Erlaine.
Fell asleep during BRCO 3023. HAHAHAHAHAHA! That was so fail!
I treat Rezah and Erlaine some snack.

Continued making our thesis during ENGL 1023.
Finally, I took my midterm in FILI 1023. I was amazed with my performance in our midterm. We were asked to make 2 poems and then continue 4 unfinished stories. Words just came out of my head and I made the poem effortlessly. I felt like there was MAGIC. I really don’t understand how everything transpired that time. :O
Sarah treated me with burger when we were about to go home.
Got home at 10:30 pm.
Kuya and mommy greeted me.
Cried. Srsly. But nevermind. :/
I had no eighteen roses or sweet dance or expensive gifts or elegant clothes or even cake but I had the best friends which gave me so much happiness yesterday. Erlaine, Rezah and Suzette gave me hand-written letters. They’re so, so sweet. My blockmates didn’t got tired greeting me, like a hundred times. :) It was still a fun day even if I got really sad that night with some too-long-story-I-don’t-want-to-elaborate. And not to forget, I want to give my utmost appreciation. Thanks to all of you, who greeted me on Facebook. To Ina, who tweeted me that she was supposed to gave me a gift but because of the rain, she hadn’t got the chance to go to our house. And most especially thank you, God for your never-ending love and understanding. I love you all. ♥

Finally, Jerome lent me his book Si Amapola sa 65 na kabanata! I started reading it last Monday (during breaks). Speaking of Monday! Our first class was AVT. The midterm was easier than expected most specially if one reviewed the hand-outs very well. I`m so glad that I spent my whole Sunday memorizing all the technical terms AVT has to offer! Thank you, Lord! :D Then I spent my lunch with Erlaine, Rezah and Haziel. After which, Regina and I went to our college`s library and had a research for our AVT report next week. I thought we would not find any books related to our topic but we actually found one. Sadly, we got late for the next class. :/ Our last class which was Filipino, for the first time, was amazing. We made short stories called dagli and it was fun hearing all the stories we`ve made. We were dismissed around 9. It was my first time to be there until 9pm. O__O
I`m already on the 128th page of Amapola which has 364 pages. It`s theme is satirical, just like Bob Ong. It tackles the problems the country has been facing for years and how Filipinos react to these issues. It has R-18 scenes. Hahaha!
I think that would be all for now. I still have lots of work to do. :/
PS. I got a mail from LBC saying that they failed to deliver the CD I sold and so they had to dispose it. But I think, somebody would claim it. I hope he could.
I`ve been going through some difficult problems lately and I know I`m not capable of handling them on my own. I`m getting crazy and weird over my dilemmas. It`s sad to know that through all the things that I surpassed, I`m still weak whenever trials come. T___T
But because my friends were there to cheer me up and bring up conversations that would make me feel better then I have to thank them. Even if they have problems of their own, they still give time to comfort me. It was so fun having new friends like them. We laugh and talk as if nobody`s watching us. Hahaha!

This blog was created August of 2008. Putting up an account here wasn't really on my plans. It's just that I was so crazy about Chris Tiu before and he runs a blog so I thought of creating my own as well. Years have passed, and I have grown yet I still keep my personal stuff here. Yes, things may change but one thing's for sure -- I will continue running this blog as long as I can.

Toledo was then followed by one of the successful alumnus of PUP who’s one of
the anchors of TV Patrol – Mr. Ted Failon. His topic focused on conflict
stories. He took a certain episode of his weekly program Failon Ngayon as an
example. Surely, he’s one of the bravest media personalities I’ve known. As he
spoke, I’ve seen in him how dedicated he is to his work, as he tries his best
to be of help to eliminate the problems of the nation. By the way, he had shared the stage with GMA-7’s Senior News Correspondent, Steve Dailisan on the
open forum. (Kind of awkward I guess, as they come from different media firms.
Though Steve lighten the awkward feels when he said “May Kapuso, may Kapamilya
pero parehong PUPian.”) On the latter part of the congress, Mr. Nathaniel Cruz
commonly known as Mang Tani, was the one who led the talk on media as a tool
for disaster preparedness. I was fortunate enough to get the chance to ask him
a question. (Ok. I’ll be having another blog post which will be more
elaborative focusing on this part. Since that blog post would be more of my
fangirl side, I decided not to bring it up in this post. Anyway, pardon me for
getting giddy and all but I hope you understand my fangirling hormones. Thank
you.) Papa Jack was the moderator for Mang Tani’s session. 
So my question was
about the projects or studies which can help in preparing for disasters in our
country. He replied that there are many studies that are being made to give
solutions to disaster-related problems but it is not an easy job and it should
be continuous. Kara David was the next to speak. She shared her experiences
during coverage of children in difficult situations. She never fails to amaze
me with her “lectures”. I always learn from her whenever she gives talks. (The
first time I heard her was during the Learniversity at PUP). The last three
speakers were Mr. Juan Armando Rojo of Public Relations Society of the
Philippines (Responsible Media for National Development); Mr. Jose Enrique
Africa of IBON Foundation (Advocacy Research: The IBON Foundation experience);
and Atty. Nepomuceno Malaluan, Co-convenor of Acess to Information Network
(Status of Freedom of Information Bill).
If you like mainstream movies which is about love and other dragging topics, then this is not something that you would like. You might find it boring and all. But in my perception, I really liked it. The story was original. It was about a man who found his dead child (ten years later) whose coffin had been carried away by the lahar. But what's surprising about it was that baby girl still looks as if she died just days ago. That man kept his child in their house. Days later, there have been some visitors who visit Marikit (the child). They have been praying to the child to make them free from their diseases. In the succeeding days, they have thanked Pol (the father of the baby, played by Coco Martin) for the miracle that his child had brought them. When the mother of the baby (Madel, the cousin of Pol, played by Alessandra de Rossi) saw that their child had been found, she went to Pol's house. They had some arguments because Madel wants to bury the child and make her rest in peace but Pol insists to keep the child because of the alleged miracle it has been doing. And I think I have been spoiling you too much so I'll end my summary here. :) I think it will still be shown in UP Film Institute this week. :D Anyway, before I got out of CCP, I saw RAIMUND MARASIGAN. Yes, one of the members of the epic band, Eraserheads. I was literally just a few centimeters from him. \m/
