Breathe-day

I took some time away from my acad works to blog about all the things that I missed to tell. I was deprived of time to enjoy and relax the past weekS. To tell you honestly, the first months of 2014 is giving me constant heart-and-head acheS. But let me not put myself down. As I always tell myself, "focus on better things left." So that's what I think I should do.

We've been bombarded with a lot of school works that I cannot feel vacay days or even weekends anymore. It's as if rest had disappeared suddenly from my vocabulary. And to make things worst, there are also some predicaments within the comforts of our home. I still have to do my everyday chores and such.

With regards to other challenges, well my brother met an accident last month. Thank God, only the car was damaged. My phone was also snatched while I was in school. And lastly, the never-ending requirements from my professors. But don't get me wrong, the latter was not said in a sarcastic manner. I just want to rant stuff that stressed me these days. Hahaha. These are the inevitable things in life that needed acceptance. "Move on, let go." as how the RATs put it.

But despite all of these, there are still many things to be thankful for. I just turned 20 last 13th and I'm glad to have celebrated it in the most unique way.

  • Two days before my birthday, I had dinner with Ina and Sayaka (my new Japanese friend who I met last January for my "interview with a foreigner" task for Intercultural Communication). We ate at Maginhawa. Finally, I already had a taste of Maginhawa. We had Japanese food. Nomnomnom. I also dropped by the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice to had a mini-conversation with God. :)
  •  Then after, I went to Tado's wake to pay my respect. It was a tough night. Last Brewrats reunion. Ramon, Angel, RA and Jun were there. We'll miss you, Sir Tado. I hope you're having a good time in your journey.
  • I went out with my friends last 12th. We had lunch at Jollibee and we went to K-Hub for one hour of videoke.
  • Then on the exact day of my birthday was the 3rd Young Communicators' Congress that coincided with the 1st PUP Mabini Media Awards. Different media practitioners were there. I felt as if they really made my day special.
  • Lastly, the thing that got me really crazy. I finally met the author of the books that made me cry! Haha. Mitch Albom! I think I have to do a special post about it whenever I find another time. He was so sweet and humble. He finished signing 1,800+ books and he made sure that he talked to everyone. I really have a lot to say about the event. But for now, Thank you, Mitch for coming to the Philippines -- not only for the benefit of your fans but for those who were affected by the typhoon as well.

Bye for now. I have to get back with some more papers. I hope to be back soon.
