My sembreak lasted for only two weeks but despite the limited time, I still got to do a lot of things.

To start off, I received a gift from my mom: Nicholas Sparks' new novel, The Longest Ride. As usual, Nicholas Sparks made me feel sudden surges of emotion. It was not as heavy as his other works but still, it tugged my heart. He really knows how to do it flawlessly. So I read it last week here at home and I finished the remaining pages on our trip to Isabela.

As I mentioned, we went to the province to visit Lolo and Inang. We first went to Bulacan then we headed straight to Isabela. We were with Lola at the passenger's seat while Tito Ed was in charge of the wheels. All I did while in the car was read, listen to songs and sleep. We spend long hours on the road because of heavy traffic.

Then last November 1, we had a mini-reunion with relatives at the cemetery. We stayed there the whole day, talking about different things, catching up on each other's lives. We also relived our memories with Lolo. Everything was perfect during that day even the weather (when in fact, Typhoon Vinta hit the Northern Luzon including Isabela).

Finally, our last destination was Nueva Ecija. Kuya and I had a hard time looking for a bus that will take us down the mountains but we were still blessed enough to get on a bus before sunset. Then last Monday, we visited Inang. It feels good to be back there again. I reminisced all those years I spent with her. And until now, for me, it was just yesterday when she left. How I wish she was still here because there are still a lot of things that I want to experience with her. I miss her, really.

Right now, I'm preparing for my second semester. By the way, I'm glad to announce that I received a good set of grades this semester, enough to apply for the dean's list again. The first semester curse is broken already. Yeaaaay! :)
