The extraordinary weekend.
written on Monday, January 24, 2011 @ 8:59 AM ✈

Last weekend, we went on a camp/retreat. It was a fun experience. Two days with no TV & computer and two days canned goods feast. To be detailed, I`ll be doing my story in a bulleted list. :)

SATURDAY, January 22, 2011
  • Woke up at 3:15 am.
  • Took a bath then had breakfast.
  • Went to school at 4:45 am
  • Went to Jabez Campsite at Dasmariñas Cavite at 7am.
  •  Immediate lesson about CAT and it`s components at a certain hall upon arrival with Mr. Johnal A. Tana, the over-all facilitator for the activities for Day 1.
  • After an hour of lecture, we went to the open field for actual demonstration.
  • The whole 4th year was the Alpha Platoon.
  • Performed commands.
  • 30 minutes break. *picture*
  • Meeting with my platoon regarding our battle cry. We ended up doing the "Aribaaaa.. Huhaaa!" battle cry.
  • Had the platoon check; performed the battle cry.
  • Lunch Break.
  • Went to the hall again for First Aid lessons. The facilitator cracked jokes that filled the room with laughter.
  • Got to familiarized with different medical and rescue items.

  • Ate Sab, another facilitator, taught us some basic knots.

  • Went on a mini obstacle course with the cargo net and different ropes.

  • Had the tyrolean traverse where I had so much fun.

  • Did the compass-reading challenge.

  • Finally, saw our cabin.

  • Prepared for dinner.

  • Took a relaxing shower. :)))))

  • Ate dinner.

  • Had bonfire. Every platoon was asked to prepare performances.

  • Played a game and then we performed.

  • Sleep time! Actually, I had a difficult time sleeping. Quite cared i might see apparitions. Hahaha~

  • SUNDAY, January 23, 2011
    • Woke up at uhh... I have no idea what time was that because I have no watch/clock.
    • Took a bath then ate breakfast.
    • Went to a session hall.
    • Had our retreat. There were 3 videos that were shown where some got emotional. I thought I would never cry but when the last video was off to it`s end, I can feel my tears encircling my eyes. Srsly. It was very moving. I bet you should also watch it. Here-yo:
    •  Everybody in the room cried especially when some shared stories about their parents.
    • The teachers shared stories about their personal lives.
    • Went back to cabin and made a letter for our parents.
    • Since the campsite is like a compound, there is a school inside it, and orphanage too. We visited the orphanage and there were so many kids there. So cute!
    • Went back to camp.
    • Ate lunch.
    • Had the obstacle race. The mud crawl was very gross but nevertheless, it was fun! Our group won the 1st place for girls. Yipeee! =))
    • Took a a shower.
    • I roamed around the campsite with Janine and then we played at the play ground. Rode a swing which I haven`t done for years. Nostalgic. ♥
    • At 5 pm, we check out the camp and we went home.
My body is still aching badly until now even if I already showered Efficasent Oil last night. Hahaha~ I hope it gets well today because I have a lot of things to do. I still have to wash my muddy clothes and my camp bag. Very busy day. Good thing today is a no-class day. How I hope for school holiday extension. Bye! My tummy`s growling already.
